JESSE BLANCARTE TIME TRIAL VOLUNTEER - MAY 2024

 

Thank you for considering to volunteer for the Jesse Blancarte Time Trial. Please read the following details prior to filling out your sign up form. The form is located below.

All positions are 8am until the conclusion of the race (typically before noon) unless otherwise noted.

Course Marshals: Monitors traffic on New Century Parkway. Directs racers as necessary and occasionally stops or slows traffic which might interfere with riders on the course. 

  • Off Ramp 1

  • Off Ramp 2

  • Turn Around

  • Amazon Fulfillment Center

Officials Assistants:

  • Whip: Lines riders up in order of start time and assists Chief Referee.

  • Pre-Spotter (200 meter): Radios bib number of riders approaching the finish

  • Spotter (finish): Receives info from the Pre-Spotter and assists the Chief Judge

  • Recorder: Assists the Chief Judge with recording finish times

Miscellaneous

  • Registration: Welcomes riders to the race and assets them with checking in, 7am until the last rider starts (typically around 11am)

  • Holder: Holds riders at the start. This is a physically demanding position

Nice to Have (All other positions must be filled first)

  • Backup Holder

  • Pre-Race Course Maintenance: Helps sweep and mark the course, 6am until 9am

  • General Assistant: Helps with setup, breakdown and is available to fill in where needed (flexible times)
